Hara Abdominal Massage
Hara is the Japanese word for the abdomen. It is considered in Traditional Chinese and Japanese medicine to be the center of your being. Your digestive system is the most essential component to your health and longevity. If you are unable to digest your food properly, then you will remain malnourished, no matter how much food you eat. Sadly, this is the state of much of the world, as those with enormous appetites are not absorbing many of the vital nutrients necessary to produce energy and maintain bodily health. The 'Hara" is closely linked to the subconscious mind since many of our emotions get pushed down and hidden deep inside our gut. This makes Hara abdominal massage a very powerful tool for unbinding old emotional traumas from our past. Whenever we eat when we're rushed, stressed out, or in an emotional state, those mental states go down into your gut with your food while you eat. These microvillae move like a wave, carrying the food through the intestines in a proper timely fashion. When this peristalsis is disrupted, the food gets stuck causing abdominal pain and also damaging the lining of the intestines. This can lead to even more severe digestive disorders such as colitis, diverticulitis, candida over-growth and leaky gut syndrome.
